Descriptions of the baskets*

Three regular formats are available:

• $34: 6 types of vegetables and 3 types of fruit
• $46: 9 types of vegetables and 4 types of fruit
• $56: 12 types of vegetables and 5 types of fruit

*Note that the term "basket" does not refer to a real basket. The produce is delivered in bags 100% biodegradable.

The quantity of each item is dependent on its price. A few typical examples are provided below:

Vegetables: 1 lb of tomatoes, zucchinis, peppers … 2 lbs of carrots, turnips, beets … 5 lbs of potatoes ... 1 broccoli, lettuce, squash, bunch of spinach …
Fruit: 4 to 6 oranges, apples, kiwis, pears, bananas … 1 lb grapes … 1 mango, melon …

We also offer three types of specialized baskets:

• Family-size basket at $57: contains 8 types of vegetables and 4 types of fruit, but in greater quantities than for the other baskets. The fruits and vegetables selected for this basket offer the best quantity-to-price ratio.
  
• "Ready-to-eat basket" at $37: contains 7 types of vegetables and 4 types of fruit that are chosen for raw foodists (living foodists) or those who want food that is simple to cook. This basket is also convenient for people who do not have much time to spend in the kitchen but want to eat healthily.
  
• "Veggie" basket at $36 : consists exclusively of vegetables, this basket have 9 different vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables
You can also order specific fruits and vegetables to personalize your regular basket. They will be added to your basket and your bill if available. Note that the prices vary according to product availability. Add-ons can be practical if you want to make reserves of puréed food for your baby, for example, or if you know in advance that you will have visitors.

Fruit-only deliveries during the summer season
If you are a gardener or a member of the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) network, we offer the possibility of ordering a fruits-only basket. Minimum purchase of $36. Contact us for more details about this offer.

Choose the frequency of your deliveries

You can choose how frequently you receive your basket – weekly or every two weeks – when you first sign up. You can change your delivery frequency later by advising us by noon on the Friday before your next delivery.

Reliable service all year long

We deliver baskets 12 months a year. Deliveries are made from Tuesday to Friday depending on where you live. You will receive your basket at approximately the same time each week. Note that we cannot guarantee a particular delivery time due to the possibility of unforeseen problems (traffic, vehicle problems, snowstorms, construction, etc.).

Not to worry if nobody is home!

If you will be away when your basket is delivered, not to worry! Simply leave a cooler in front of your door with the cheque inside. Some clients leave us a key and leave their cooler inside the home. Whatever you decide, it is important to advise us of what to do in case you are not home. Please ensure that your cooler is accessible, preferably in front of the house. To give you an idea of the size of cooler required, a $34 delivery fills two grocery bags and a $46 basket fills three (either fits into a regular cooler), whereas a $56 order fills four bags (a large cooler is needed). Allow for additional space if you order extras. Please note that a lunch-sized cooler is not big enough to hold even the smallest order.

Methods of payment

Baskets are payable on delivery by cash or cheque. Please do not accumulate unpaid balances. You may also send us a series of post-dated cheques if this is more convenient for you, or you may pay for baskets in advance. A $10 fee will be charged for cheques with insufficient funds.

Consistent and guaranteed quality

Despite our best efforts to ensure the highest quality for our fruits and vegetables, it is possible that some items of questionable freshness may get by us when we put together your order, or that some food becomes damaged during delivery. If this is the case, please do not hesitate to . We will replace it in your next order with a product of equal value.

Service suited to your needs

If you need to cancel a basket, modify the format of your basket, or change the frequency of your delivery, please contact us by noon on the Friday before your next delivery. All late cancellation will be charge. It is always possible to leave us a message on our answering machine outside of our regular customer service hours or send us an e-mail.

You can cancel up to four consecutive baskets without losing your delivery priority (only two baskets if you receive your basket every second week). It is also possible to cancel your basket several times during the year.

Try it once and be convinced!

To determine whether or not our service is right for you, ask for a first basket before signing up. Choose the desired format ($34, $46, $56, ready-to-eat, or family-size) and pay upon delivery.

Once you have tried your first basket and decide to subscribe to our service, contact us by phone, email or fax and specify the format of your basket and the frequency of the deliveries.

A one-time subscription fee of $25 will be billed with the delivery of your second basket. You do not have to pay this fee each year. Your subscription will be valid even if you temporarily stop your deliveries for several months or if you move to another delivery area. Subscription fees are non-refundable if you choose to cancel the service.
